My wife and I are retired and have been full time RVers fir over 20 years. Since we sold out in Illinois, we have called South Dakota our home state. We register our vehicles there. We vote there. Several times a year, we pass through to visit friends. I hope all your changes wil not disenfanchise us, loyal South Dakota residents.

Thank you for joining us again. We enjoy hearing from you. There have been some situations recently that really upset the people who live here full time. It sounds like the most popular solution is to allow travelers to vote in national elections, but not local and state ones (since they aren't physically in the state, don't know the issues, and aren't really impacted by most of the things that elected official would do).

That is exactly what we do now, since we are not up to date on local politics. It makes no sense at all. Last year when the changes to the State Constitution were listed, we voted against all of them because even a blind man could see thru the lies that were presented. Common sense showed they were not in the best interest of anybody.

But you don't reside there full time, right, you travel around the country? How many months each year do you actually reside in SD?

If we stop on our way from visiting our daughter in Rockford Illinois to see our son is Southern Californicate, we may stop in Hot Springs to stay with good friends from long ago for most of a week, then 2 more days to get to Sioux Falls to pick up our mail, maybe a week in the Spring and another in the Fall.

Yes, it’s awesome. Fixed the loophole of potential out of state voters. Thank goodness our District 1 Minnesota legislator voted in favor!

Could you provide a little more detail? Does one of our legislators really live in Minnesota?

When South Dakota complies with the Presidents request, paper ballots, same day voting, voter IDs, proof of citizenship, SD will be way ahead of the game. SD may be there in most counties.

They are looking good.
