A private person, private business or corporation that gets to keep more of the money it earned via lower taxes is not a handout. Any government taking anything more than absolutely needed is codified theft. The next worst is the unfunded government mandate forcing business to pay wages that are not earned and calling it a minimum wage. The mandate that puts more unearned money into the economy, in turn devaluing that money and forcing prices to go up for everyone.

It's pretty obvious if you had to work for a living, you would be well aware of the depressed wages in this state and why that is the way it is here.
