The elevated death and sickness numbers from the Covid-19 period have created a lot of anxiety that is spilling over into traditional childhood vaccines. Some people argue we need these vaccines to prevent disease outbreaks. Other people assert there is little evidence to suggest vaccines prevent health problems and instead argue these vaccines create health issues.
The challenge is South Dakota has a law that mandates childhood vaccines for school attendance. When there is a mandate, the state needs to be very careful they are not “mandating harm”. That means we need to ask some tough questions. Here are a few of the concerns we should consider:
No Real Regulatory Oversight — The pharmaceutical industry finances about 75% of the FDA division that approves vaccines. This means the pharmaceutical companies are paying for their own oversight which seems like a huge conflict of interest. Among other things, there appear to be gaps in the safety studies. For example, some vaccine trial recipients are only monitored for a few days after they are given the injection, which means it is impossible to determine long term side effects. Interestingly, the package inserts for these vaccines openly state they do not have much long term data (ActHIB is one example, similar disclosures can be found on other vaccine package inserts).
Vaccine Manufacturers have No Direct Consequence for Causing Injury — The National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act (NCVIA) of 1986 was signed into law by Ronald Reagan in November 1986. NCVIA's purpose was to eliminate vaccine manufacturers’ financial liability from injury claims. This is a cash cow for pharmaceutical companies - big profits (about $29.7 billion per year in the U.S.) and no real liability exposure.
Higher infant vaccination, higher infant death rates — A 2011 study showed that in developed nations a higher number of vaccinations resulted in higher infant mortality. The findings were confirmed in 2023.
Studies to Compare the Health of Vaccinated vs. Unvaccinated Repeatedly Denied — If there is nothing to hide, why haven’t any large scale studies been done?
Small Scale Studies Suggest Vaccinated Children have more health issues — There are a number of these studies. The Weston Price study is particularly interesting, because it studied families with children that were vaccinated and unvaccinated. This study was also careful to highlight the possibility of genetic variation.
Conflicts of Interest — Pediatricians are paid to vaccinate. Even the “fact checkers” admit Blue Cross Blue Shield pediatricians were incentivized to vaccinate their patients. That seems like a big conflict of interest. In other words a pediatrician may push a vaccine solely because it increases his/her take home pay, not because he/she has done the research and believe it is best for his/her patients.
Autism rates are at an all time high —While we are not sure why autism rates are so high, it is obvious we have a big problem. We went from 4-5 in every 10,000 kids to 1 in every 36 kids. Interestingly, the U.S. has one of the highest autism rates in the world and one of the highest number of recommended childhood vaccines in the world (37 by the age of 6 and somewhere close to 60 by age 18). It is interesting the the CDC (Center for Disease Control) has now removed the schedule that shows all the vaccines between birth and 18. Perhaps that is to make the number seem less ominous (and keep parents from noticing).
Based on these concerns alone, it would probably be wise for the SD Legislature to remove 13-28-7.1 from the books or change the language substantially so there is no pressure for children to be vaccinated. It would also probably be wise for the state to stop pushing vaccines on billboards and websites. After all, it would be a travesty (and a huge legal liability) if we were pushing something, like cigarettes, that was harming kids.
South Dakota Voices Response: Fred, thanks for the email. Interesting comments. Any thoughts on whether the legislature will take action this session?
Email comment from FC: "The schedule has tripled since '86. The System has been captured. I agree with what you said. As I've said before, it's well documented, even in their own literature, that infectious diseases were dropping 90% or more because of better nutrition, sanitation & hygiene prior to the the vaccines being introduced giving the appearance of efficacy by vaccines, when that's not the truth or the whole story! Another issue is Pasteur's germ theory germs ( proven to be flawed) vs. Bechamp's terrain theory of strong immune system. RFK understands. Hopefully something will happen federally but I agree with all of what should happen at the state level. Barbara Loe Fischer really understands this at NVIC: "If the State can tag, track down and force citizens against their will to be injected with biologicals of known and unknown toxicity today, there will be no limit on which individual freedoms the State can take away in the name of the greater good tomorrow." — Barbara Loe Fisher, Co-Founder NVIC"
South Dakota Voices Response: Thank you for joining us. We appreciate your viewpoint. Many of the links are to scientific material. Could you please tell us which link(s) is a problem. That way we can learn from you. Thanks again.
Email comment from AW: "This is not based on science. Families should not be discouraged from vaccinating children. I grew up with friends who had polio, I had measles, mumps, rubella and chicken pox. My children had vaccines. Thank God. People have short memories of the devastation from these diseases! Don’t spread misinformation."
